A beginner Loomian is a three-stage line that evolves starting at level 18 and again starting at level 34. The seven Roria lines are below. Final typings come from the Loomipedia order used by the long-running species list.
| First form | Type | At level 18 | At level 34 | Final typing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Embit | Fire | Rabburn | Searknight | Fire/Metal |
| Dripple | Water | Reptide | Luminami | Water/Light |
| Fevine | Plant | Felver | Tahtab | Plant/Brawler |
| Eaglit | Light | Torprey | Falkyrie | Light/Metal |
| Vambat | Dark | Dimpire | Vesperatu | Dark/Spirit |
| Snocub | Ice | Snowki | Himbrr | Ice/Earth |
| Weevolt | Electric | Stozap | Zuelong | Electric/Ancient |
The partner chosen in the Loomian Laboratory cannot be traded. Bought or rallied beginners can. Buying extras is a Robux shop option, not a story requirement: the same species can be purchased in a set of 10 or a set of 100 after you have bought one.
What the opening typings actually do
These are offensive matchups from the documented chart, not a power ranking.
- Fire, Embit's type, is super-effective against Plant, Dark, Ice, and Metal. It is resisted by Fire, Water, Light, and Ancient.
- Water, Dripple's type, is super-effective against Fire, Electric, and Earth. It is resisted by Water, Plant, and Ancient. That Fire matchup is why Dripple is comfortable into Heiwa.
- Plant, Fevine's type, is super-effective against Water and Earth. It is resisted by Fire, Plant, Toxic, and Ancient. Heiwa's Fire Loomians resist it.
- Light, Eaglit's type, is super-effective against Dark, Ancient, and Spirit. It does no damage to Plant. It is a direct answer to the Dark side of Silvent.
Snocub, Vambat, and Weevolt are full beginner lines. Their offensive rows were not copied in full here, so this page does not invent what Dark or Ice hits. Defensively, Fire is super-effective against Ice, and Water is super-effective against Electric. Do not leave Snocub in on Akio or Weevolt in on a Water STAB.
When to evolve
Most beginner lines want level 18 and then level 34. Early wild bug lines can evolve at much lower levels, so read the Loomipedia before you grind past a stage whose move you still want. Some non-beginner species also refuse a level evolution until you use an item, hold an item, meet a bond, match a time of day, or follow a gender branch. If the level is already past the number in the Loomipedia and nothing happened, stop gaining experience and read the condition.
Delaying evolution is reasonable when the current stage learns a move the next stage misses, or when you want to keep an unevolved gleaming. It is not useful when you are only avoiding a theatre that your current typing already answers.
Story coverage, not a best starter
Use Dripple if you want the documented Water advantage into the Fire theatre and a later Water/Light final form. Use Embit if you want Fire into Plant, Ice, Dark, and Metal, knowing Heiwa will resist you. Use Fevine if you want Plant into the later Water theatre and you are willing to catch a Fire answer first. Use Eaglit when you can take a Light beginner and you want the Dark and Plant matchups. The other three are specialists you build around, not automatic early-game carries.
