Every Loomian has one or two types. A move is super-effective, not very effective, immune, or neutral against each defending type. Same-type attack bonus adds damage when the move's type matches the attacker's type. On a dual-type defender, the two defensive multipliers stack. A double resistance can drop a hit to a quarter. A weakness on either side can still leave the hit super-effective overall.

There are 17 types: Fire, Water, Plant, Light, Dark, Ice, Electric, Air, Bug, Earth, Toxic, Metal, Ancient, Spirit, Brawler, Mind, and Simple. A hidden Null type is neutral in both directions and is not a species' default type. Judge the move that is about to hit, not only the species icon. A Water Loomian can still know an Earth move.

Offensive rows that were checked

Columns are the defending type, in this order: Fire, Water, Plant, Light, Dark, Ice, Electric, Air, Bug, Earth, Toxic, Metal, Ancient, Spirit, Brawler, Mind, Simple. Values are the damage multiplier.

Attack Fire Water Plant Light Dark Ice Electric Air Bug Earth Toxic Metal Ancient Spirit Brawler Mind Simple
Fire 0.5 0.5 2 0.5 2 2 1 1 1 1 1 2 0.5 1 1 1 1
Water 2 0.5 0.5 1 1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1 0.5 1 1 1 1
Plant 0.5 2 0.5 1 1 1 1 1 0.5 2 0.5 1 0.5 1 1 1 1
Light 1 1 0 0.5 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 0.5 1

The other 13 attacking rows are real and were not transcribed here. Read the effectiveness text in battle before you build a PvP core around a type this table does not show.

Use the rows you have

  • Into Heiwa's Fire theatre, Water attacks deal double. Plant attacks deal half. Fire attacks into Ice deal double, so an Ice partner should switch.
  • Into Silvent's Dark Loomians, both Fire and Light deal double. Light deals none to Plant, which is an immunity, not a resist.
  • Into Sepharite's Metal specialty, Fire deals double.
  • Into Atlanthian's Water specialty, Plant deals double. Water attacks into your Electric Loomian deal double.

A gleaming uses the same chart as the normal form. Personality and Training Points do not turn a resisted hit into a super-effective one.

Building a party of six

For a story theatre, two Loomians that hit the specialty is enough. For a longer route, avoid putting two team members that share a double weakness to the grass you are walking through. Write down what beat you after each new route, then catch that answer before the next badge-style fight.

The type guide on some newer sites renames Metal and Water theatres as Cyber and Tidal. Those words are the medal names. The species types documented for Faust and for Coraline and Lilian are Metal and Water.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Route 9 live in Loomian Legacy?

Yes. Llama Train Studio posted on October 30, 2026 that the Route 9 update was live, and the Roblox experience description tells you to enter Route 9 through the Cheshma Town train station. Field Capture, expeditions, raids, and Daily Missions shipped with that update.

Are there working Loomian Legacy codes?

The LoomiWatch Store has a Codes tab, so redemption exists. This archive does not list a code as active. Anniversary2026, the last code with an official end time found here, ended August 4, 2026 at 4 PM CDT. Later aggregator pages still disagree with each other.

Which beginner Loomian should I choose?

Any of the seven beginner lines can clear the story. The partner you choose at the Loomian Laboratory in Mitis Town cannot be traded away. Rallied or purchased copies of beginner Loomians can. Pick a typing you like, then catch a partner that covers it before the first two Battle Theatres.

Where do I heal my Loomians?

Use a Loomian Center. The first one is in Mitis Town, and the attendant heals the whole party. A fainted Loomian cannot battle until it is revived at a center or with a revival item.
