Ranked battles at the Battle Colosseum use the same types as the story and a stricter build. A team of six needs roles, not six favorite species at a high level.
The three build layers
- Personality changes stats by a percentage. A Personality that lowers the stat your role needs will lose before the matchup does.
- Unique Points are innate. Rally Ranch is how players replace a wild spread. Story Unique Points are fine for theatres. Ranked teams are usually rallied.
- Training Points finish the spread. The documented caps are 500 total and 200 in one stat. Players compare spreads at level 50.
Gleaming is not a fourth layer. It does not add stats.
A story team versus a ranked six
For theatres, two answers to the specialty are enough, levels can be uneven by a few, and a neutral Personality is acceptable. For ranked play, give each Loomian one job: a fast attacker, a bulky pivot, a status catcher, or a cleaner that hits what the first attacker cannot. If two members share a double weakness, replace one before you queue.
Build the core six, then keep one or two alternatives in storage when a season shifts. This page does not publish a season ban list. The August 2026 notes mention an older ranked season's bans and a top-25 Crown cutoff, and those rules move. Read the Colosseum rules on the save you are playing.
A rally target, not a tier clone
| Goal | What to demand from the ranch | What can wait |
|---|---|---|
| First theatre clear | Right typing, level close to the Battle Star | Perfect Unique Points |
| Repeat story fights | A Personality that does not cut your main attack or Speed | 500 Training Points |
| Ranked set | Personality, Unique Points in the stats the role uses, then Training Points | Gleaming palette |
Secret Ability is a separate rally or wild roll. Hunt it when the ability changes the role. Do not delay Silvent for it.
Items and coverage
A held item does not fix a typing hole. Teach a coverage move only when you know that move's type from the chart or from the effectiveness text in battle. The four offensive rows in the type guide are enough to check Fire, Water, Plant, and Light. For other types, test in a safe fight before you spend Training Points.
